What would you do if you couldn't write?
I just posted some of my thoughts on what I would do if I couldn't be a poet/student/teacher over at rachelmarsom.com. Definitely something to have in the back of our heads whether you are in graduate school or thinking about applying to MFA programs.

I worked as an insurance claims adjuster for 10 years before I went back to obtain my MFA. I think now, if I wasn't doing freelance stuff and being a housewife (OMG I never thought I would be one!) I know I wouldn't go back to that job. When I have looked for work it has been jobs at colleges - financial aid office, academic advisor. I'd still really like to help people who are pursuing their education :)
ReplyDeleteAre they still taking applications for one of those housewife jobs? Let me know where I can apply. Thanks! :)
