Where do you write?

Hi everybody! Hope you had a wonderful relaxing Labor Day weekend! I'm already looking forward to fall break...just a month away!

I wrote some about writing, where I write (as silly as it is) and my process over at rachelmarsom.com. Here's the linky: Where do you write?

p.s. I am only getting workshopped twice (scratch that, four times, OOPS!) this semester. My first time will be Sept. 21st, so that's why you haven't heard anything specific about poetry from me yet!

  1. I've been writing on my balcony, and on my bed. But I do get ideas in the shower and when I'm out running (in other words, when I can't write them down immediately), so I try to keep them in my head until I get to a place from which I can write them down.

  2. I've been writing in my bed and also too much in my head. I tried writing in a library here, but I fell asleep! It smelled like books in there. It was nice. Tomorrow I'm going to Barnes & Noble because they have seats facing a big picture window where I imagine myself writing.

  3. I mostly write at my desk in my bedroom, but I will chance a trip to the coffee shop every now and then. Like Emily, I have a lot of ideas in the shower and at other times when a notebook isn't handy.

  4. I've been writing on my couch. I often get lines and ideas when drifting off to sleep so I jump out of bed and run to a notebook and write them down (like last night, I jumped out of bed and wrote -- inexplicably, now --- "suffusion.") I'm still trying to find a good place to go and write, maybe I'll head to the one coffee shop in town.

  5. I write most often in my living room but I have a lot of ideas that come to me when I am driving so I've taken to calling my voicemail :)

  6. I mostly write in my room either in a notebook while on my bed or on my computer. Want to get in the habit of taking the notebook to different places to bring in different locational energy, but hasn't really happened yet.
